5-3 Rams Win over Rockets Evens Season Record
|
The Frisco Rams finished off the Kelowna Rockets, 5-3. Much of the credit belonged to first baseman Chris Hogg. Hogg was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Rams. Frisco reliever Adrian Alvarez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jaylen Hester absorbed the loss. Dan Thompson recorded the save, his 25th.
Hogg had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count sinker from Jaylen Hester, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Rams a 5-3 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Hogg.
Hogg called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
Frisco now sits at 73-73, while Kelowna falls to 74-72.
