Shamrocks Win with Late Heroics
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats could not turn a fine performance from first baseman Jayden Byrd into a win. Instead, the Pacifica Shamrocks prevailed, 6-5, in 11 innings. Byrd was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The victory makes Pacifica 47-99.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jean Mendes in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Williams to win the game for Pacifica. The home crowd went nuts.

"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Ben Bobzien.
