The Wichita Wolverines used the hitting of third baseman Matt Cardon to subdue the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, 12-6. For the game, Cardon hit 2 home runs, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice. Wichita, at 56-89, occupies last place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Wolverines grabbed the lead when Cardon hit his 29th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Ryan Williams made it 6-3, Wichita.

"I put some good swings on the ball," said Cardon.
