The Kelowna Rockets had to overcome a big game from Carson City first baseman C.J. Huisman to leave Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-7. Huisman hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Javier Rios got the win, improving to 13-11. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 7 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Kelowna is 5th in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League with a record of 73-71.

Randy Parrell drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances for Kelowna. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris DePalma. It was his 58th walk of the season.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Kelowna manager Ch'ak'iso Chaga.
