The Madison Beehive got a good effort from starter John Brett in defeating the Silicon Valley Hackers at The Hive. The final score was 4-2. With the win over Silicon Valley, the Beehive improved to 65-78.
The Beehive got a big at-bat from center fielder Charles Randell. For the game, Randell was 1-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 24th double of the season gave Madison a 2-0 lead.
