The Moose Jaw Canucks topped the Sandy Springs Spartans, 8-5, in RCL AA action at Ashton Gate. The standout performance belonged to Moose Jaw pitcher and Springville, Utah, native Justin Schroeder. Earning his 11th save for Moose Jaw was Mike Perschau. The first-place Canucks have won 5 in a row.

John Wider was 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Moose Jaw. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Raul Abalos. It was his 48th hit of the season.
