Starting pitcher Greg Spivey gave the Montreal Mounties a rock-solid effort. The Sewaren, New Jersey native helped his team defeat the Quebec Armada, 2-1, at Mount Royal Grounds. Montreal has 3 straight wins, Quebec 3 straight losses.

Montreal got a clutch hit from Leil Moorthy. The designated hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Moorthy said.
