Matsumoto Shines in 6-3 Huntington Station Win
The Huntington Station Ramrods defeated the Manhattan Slice, 6-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Station Center Yard. Michio Matsumoto pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Bill Zink closed it out for his 8th save. The second-place Ramrods hiked their record to 48-47.

Huntington Station took a 6-3 lead on Brian Matter's 12th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Matter hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Manhattan pitcher Tom Simmons visibly frustrated.
