Warriors Earn 4-2 Road Win Over Asheville
Walnut Creek turned a good performance from starting pitcher Alberto Candelaria into a 4-2 triumph over the Asheville Moonshiners at The Still. Juan Cruz earned the save for Walnut Creek, his 2nd. At 2-0, the Warriors have played well so far.

Walnut Creek used a well-timed hit by Danny Torres to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Warriors ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Alberto was throwing with conviction," said Walnut Creek manager Miguel de la Rosa.
