Friedman, Beach Bums Wallop Junebugs in Game 6 of R3
The Traverse City Beach Bums and the Loachapoka Junebugs will take the Round 3 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Beach Bums beat the Junebugs 9-2 at The Royal Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Traverse City right fielder Ron Friedman was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2.

Al Harmon dealt the Junebugs a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Traverse City leading 1-0, Harmon hit a first pitch changeup for a 2-run single.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Traverse City manager Román Cruz said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Royal Grounds in Traverse City.
