Tornadoes Rally to Eke Out Win
The Kansas City Tornadoes did just enough to nip the Mexico City Luchadores, 4-3, in 14 innings. Kansas City pitcher Paul Alexander, in particular, had a standout performance. Manuel Zepeda picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Dan Wallace suffered the loss. The Tornadoes sit in last place in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division with a record of 46-63.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the 14th, with the game tied, Matt Cardon was at the plate when Kansas City scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Tornadoes to go in front, 4-3.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Alexander.
