Bison Lose Versus Maple, 5-3
|
The Maple Marauders picked up a win at Magnificent Marauders Mansion, knocking off the Bighorn Bison, 5-3. On the mound for Maple was right-hander Justin Henley. He played a key role in the triumph. Josh Wahl finished to wrap up his 20th save. With the win, Maple goes to 50-58, while the Bison fall to 48-59.
Mike Flemming, who finished 4th in the RCL in slugging percentage with .579 in 2063, came through for Maple with a 2-run double in the bottom of the seventh. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.
"Justin gave us everything he had," said Maple manager Aaron McKenna.
