The Asheville Moonshiners walked off with a big win.

The Asheville Moonshiners picked up a win at The Still, topping the Hawaii Honu, 6-5. On the mound for Asheville was left-hander Victor Lara. He played a principal role in the triumph. Asheville pitcher Steve Blaire got the win, upping his record to 5-3. Tom Mitcham got the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Unpei Takeshita in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 28-year old left-handed pitcher Tom Mitcham to win the game for Asheville. The home crowd went nuts.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Takeshita said.

Asheville is now 48-44.
