Quebec used a superb performance from starting pitcher Tim Jones to down the Montreal Jazz, 5-0. Quebec currently is in first place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division at 52-40.

Quebec used the clutch hitting of John Bramante to snag the win. The left fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Armada ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Tim was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Quebec manager Ramu Pavi.
