Honu Lose to Montreal, 1-0
|
Montreal starter Eddie Galloza kept the Hawaii offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his cutter in leading the Mounties to a 1-0 win. The winner was Galloza. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Fernando Vazquez. Earning his 3rd save for Montreal was Bill Wolfe.
Cody Jaeger, who is tied for 6th in the TML in triples with 6, had a direct impact on the outcome. Jaeger contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Montreal up, 1-0.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Naoki Okada. "That was the problem."
The Mounties win now puts them at 55-36.
