Hutchinson Leads Honu to Win
Les Hutchinson was the difference-maker for the Hawaii Honu in what turned into a shootout with the Jacksonville Pilots. Hutchinson, who finished 3rd in the RCL in doubles with 52 in 2060, went 4-for-6 in the 12-10 Honu win. The win was credited to 34-year old left-handed pitcher Fernando Vazquez in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Patrick Greathouse took the loss. Karl Molnar sewed up the save, his 20th.

In the top of the seventh, the Honu grabbed the lead when Hutchinson hit his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Kelvin Tolmie made it 11-8, Hawaii.

"Wild game," said Hutchinson after it ended.

Their 48-58 record puts the Honu 5th in the Thurman Munson League West Division.
