The Buffalo Bison defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 9-7, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Nate Adkins produced 1 single and 1 double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Josh Swopes picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mike Ortner, who is tied for 7th in the TML in strikeouts with 108, was tagged with the loss. Buffalo is now 48-57.

With Buffalo leading 5-0 in the bottom of the third, Adkins batted against Vancouver pitcher Joey Tino. Adkins hit a sinker to center for a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season put the Bison on top, 7-0.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Adkins.
