The Bighorn Bison defeated the Manhattan Slice, 5-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Copps Park. Bighorn pitcher Jason Weiss had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Weiss, now 7-5. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 2. The loss makes Manhattan 43-48.

Bighorn used a well-timed hit by Dean Nappi to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Bison ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Bighorn manager Carlos Esparza.
