The Huntington Station Ramrods picked up a win at Copps Park, downing the Manhattan Slice, 5-3. On the mound for Huntington Station was right-hander Raul Frausto, who played a pivotal role in the win. Dusty Miranda closed the game out for Huntington Station, earning his 1st save. Huntington Station goes to 42-49, Manhattan to 41-50.
Huntington Station used a clutch at-bat from Danny Ortiz to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Ramrods ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
After the game, Huntington Station manager Paco Berroa applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
