Mario Rodriguez led the charge as the Walnut Creek Warriors defeated the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 9-8, in 10 innings at Castlerock Field. Rodriguez went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Warriors move to 50-42 with the win, while the Ridge Runners drop to 36-56.

The decisive blow was delivered by Kevin McArdle in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Kimbrough to win the game for Walnut Creek. The home crowd went nuts.

"Our guys refused to lose," said McArdle.
