The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners knocked off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Field de Los Layendas. Eagle Rock pitcher and Alexandria, Canada, native Terry Hearn had an outstanding performance. Hearn got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win over Cabo San Lucas, the Ridge Runners improved to 51-55.

In the top of the seventh, Eagle Rock left fielder Zheng-ze Li had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Cabo San Lucas hurler Andy Carr, Li hit a sacrifice fly. That made the score 6-4, Eagle Rock. For the day, Li drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances.

Li said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
