Quebec right-hander Tim Jones pitched his team to victory over the Dallas Texans at Lucky 7 Ballpark. The final score was 4-0. Jones yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-1. Steve Ferris wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.

Eric Gerdes had a big run-scoring triple for the Armada in the bottom of the second inning. With Quebec leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jake Williams and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Armada ahead, 2-0.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Jones. "But I have better dreams after a win."

The Armada sit in last place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division with a record of 41-49.
