Hornets Fight for 5-4 Win
The Eureka Hornets clipped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 5-4, in 13 innings at The Nest. The standout performance belonged to Eureka pitcher and Attleboro, Massachusetts, native George White. Eureka reliever Ian Bolin picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Bill LaForge was tagged with the loss. Eureka has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

The decisive blow was delivered by Brian Carr in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a solo home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Bill LaForge to win the game for Eureka. The home crowd went nuts.

"George is a tough competitor," said Eureka manager Juan Montés.
