The Havana Stogies took Huntington Station pitcher Jason Sanders's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Station Center Yard. The final score had Havana getting past the Ramrods, 3-2. Sanders went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 3. Yale Fischer picked up his 2nd save of the season. The victory makes Havana 7-3, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2062.

Allen Larson, who finished 5th in the RCL in home runs with 38 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Larson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Havana up, 2-1.

Larson attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
