Eclipse Popped by Tornadoes, 7-0
|
The Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Chicago Eclipse, 7-0, at Millennium Field. The win was due in part to first baseman Andy Chambers, who went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. The Tornadoes sport a record of 42-62.
It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City, had it not been for Matt Cardon, the 19-year old third baseman . Cardon contributed a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put Kansas City up, 4-0.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Cardon.
