Warriors Sneak Past Blazers, 1-0

The Walnut Creek Warriors used a great performance from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Bruce Moreno to beat the Bloomington Blazers, 1-0, at Castlerock Field. Walnut Creek reliever Scott Scott picked up the win to move to 1-1. Jorge Lagunas suffered the loss. The 5th-place Warriors sport a record of 42-47.
The decisive blow was delivered by Dylan Sullivan in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Jorge Lagunas to win the game for Walnut Creek. The home crowd went nuts.
"We did just enough to win," Sullivan said.
