The Bloomington Blazers moved to within one game of the Round 3, downing the visiting Walnut Creek Warriors at Arson Arena by a score of 5-2. Blazers left-hander Mario Solis had a strong outing in which he came in in relief and pitched to 28 batters. The win gives the Blazers a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Round 2.

Making an impact for Bloomington was shortstop Benito Mendosa. RCP2057 drilled a 2-run home run off Joseph Fredericks in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Mendosa was 1-2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Solis.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Arson Arena in Bloomington.
