Bloomington Hands Walnut Creek 6-1 Loss
Chris Maloney pitched a gem to lead the Bloomington Blazers to victory, 6-1, over the Walnut Creek Warriors in Game 2 of the Round 2. The left-handed Maloney came in in relief and pitched to 27 batters in the win, which gave the Blazers a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Bloomington used a well-timed hit by Mark Coppage to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blazers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Chris is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 24th , 2064 at Arson Arena in Bloomington.
