Almost There: Montreal On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 6-4 Win
The Montreal Mounties moved to within one game of the ABL World Series, downing the Chicago Eclipse on the road at Millennium Field by a score of 6-4. Mounties right-hander Owen Stegemann had a strong outing. He threw 8.1 innings of 7-hit ball. The win gives the Mounties a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 LCS Round.

Montreal used the timely hitting of Mike Miller to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mounties on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We haven't stopped playing," Chicago manager Demetrio Recchia said. "We didn't get this far to give up."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Millennium Field in Chicago.
