The Trois-Rivieres Aigles beat the Lake Erie Crushers, 6-5 at Warcats Ballpark, in part due to left fielder Matt Cellucci, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. Trois-Rivieres reliever Cesar Renteria picked up the win to move to 1-1. Jessie Shelby suffered the loss. The last-place Crushers have lost 5 consecutive games.

Trois-Rivieres used the clutch hitting of Matt Eggert to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Aigles ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
