Victory Over Wild Things Takes New York to 26-11
|
New York got a strong outing from Kyle Milman as the Boulders defeated the Washington Wild Things, 5-2, at Ballpark of Indianapolis. In 6 innings, Milman surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Toby Bartley picked up the save for New York, his 13th of the year.
Scott Allen contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat that propelled New York to the win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Allen told reporters after the game.
New York has an impressive 26-11 record.
