Commies Get Clutch Win Versus Manchester
|
The Caribbean Commies dealt the Manchester Mooses a 4-3 loss at Moose Head Stadium. Lee Peterson, who is tied for 10th in the RR with a 1.022 OPS, was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Caribbean occupies 5th place in the RCL R John Mayberry Division at 68-94.
Caribbean used the timely hitting of Bobby Arceo to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Commies on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
After the game, Caribbean manager Atamas Manas applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
