The Coronado Islanders went down to defeat to Alex Quevedo and his The Stinging teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Larvae. The winner was The Stinging reliever Orlando Soria, now 3-3. The loser was Jose Rico. The win has The Stinging at 57-104.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Yukiyasu Fujimori came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Coronado pitcher Jose Rico, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting The Stinging on top, 2-1.
