Both offenses were relatively subdued at The Lair at Sabercat Field. Fortunately for the Paradise Island Pirates, though, Pablo Lara was able to deliver in the clutch. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, to lead his team past the Sedona Sabercats, 3-1. Jesus Casallas, 8-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. The Pirates improved their record to 108-53 with the win over Sedona.

Lara had a timely hit for Paradise Island in the top of the sixth. With Paradise Island trailing 1-0, he turned a 1-1 sinker into a 3-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season, making it 3-1, Paradise Island.
