Y'alls Need Extra Frames to Get Past Boomers
The Florence Y'alls faced a tough opponent in Schaumburg pitcher Brian Gilbert, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Kings Ballpark by a final score of 7-2. Gilbert went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Y'alls, at 23-14, lead by one game in their division.

Florence used the timely hitting of David Dobson to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Y'alls ahead, 6-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Dobson said (again).
