|
The Manchester Mooses weathered a fine game by Caribbean right fielder John Leydig to upend the Commies, 6-3, at Moose Head Stadium. Leydig went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Vinny Medina picked up the save, his 6th. Manchester occupies 4th place in the RCL R John Mayberry Division at 80-81.
Mario Laque helped out the Manchester cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a walk.
Laque said his team "played with focus."
