The Cabo San Lucas Toreros withstood a fine game by Eureka right fielder Paul Depew at The Nest, to upend the Hornets, 5-4. Depew went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Victor Gonzalez closed it out for his 17th save. The Toreros now have a record of 37-66 with the win over Eureka.

Chris Hogan was 1-3 with a walk for Cabo San Lucas. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring single off Bobby Loscalzo. It was his 102nd hit of the season.

"I was a little disappointed," said Eureka manager Juan Montés. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
