The Eureka Hornets dealt the West Island Jazz a 6-5 loss at The Nest. John Campbell was the star on offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The loss lowers the West Island record to 8-3.

Campbell had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Sam Hickey, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Hornets a 6-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Campbell.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Pedro Gonzáles.
