Jackels Need Extras to Top Wild Things
|
Despite a fine performance by second baseman Doug Craddock, the Washington Wild Things suffered a 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Jackels. Craddock went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Pat Fitzer picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Gabe Lodge was tagged with the loss. At 17-18, the Jackels are currently 5th in the Frontier League Frontier Division.
New Jersey third baseman George Richardson had a key at-bat for the Jackels in the bottom of the tenth inning. Facing right-hander Gabe Lodge, Richardson hit a walk-off run-scoring double. It put New Jersey in front, 4-3. For the day, Richardson went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles.
"This joint was rocking," said Richardson.
