Multi-HR Day for Avila as Rangers Overpower Revenge, 7-5
The Carrollton Rangers topped the Barbados Revenge by a score of 7-5. Leading the way was catcher Carlos Avila. Avila slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Rangers. The win went to Peter Hutchins in relief, making him now 3-3. Carlos Sanchez took the loss for Barbados. Ted Owens notched his 11th save of the season.

Avila had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch changeup from Carlos Sanchez, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Rangers a 7-5 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Avila.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said Carrollton manager Hung-chang Chao.

Carrollton currently is in third place in the RCL R Tony Fernandez Division at 87-70.
