Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Matt McDonald, the Evansville Otters defeated the Florence Y'alls, 8-0. McDonald slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Otters. With the win, the Otters improved to 14-16.

The Otters got an important contribution from designated hitter Aaron Hayes, who in the bottom of the first punched a 2-2 changeup into right-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Otters ahead, 2-0.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Hayes.
