Fading Pirates Lose 6th Straight
|
Paradise Island designated hitter Jose Dominguez pounded Normal Nutcrackers pitchers at Predator Park, but it was not enough to keep the Pirates from falling, 8-6. Dominguez went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. By defeating Paradise Island, the 4th-place Nutcrackers improved to 86-70.
Carlos Villarreal helped out the Normal cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter drew 2 walks.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Villarreal told the Normal Daily.
