Nutcrackers Win with Late Heroics
The Normal Nutcrackers walked off with a big win.

Normal second baseman Thimotée Ducrocq made his presence felt in the 5-3 Nutcrackers triumph over the Sedona Sabercats. Ducrocq was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kevin Johnson came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-4.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the 11th. With Normal trailing 3-2, Ducrocq jumped on a fastball from 17-year old right-handed pitcher Jose Valdez and hit a 3-run home run to left. With one swing, the Nutcrackers had a walk-off win.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Ducrocq.
