Boulders Get Close Win Over Otters
Evansville pitcher Jesse Reaves gave the Boulders all they could handle, but in the end, New York left Ballpark of Indianapolis with a 5-3 win. Reaves allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 5.2 innings. New York reliever Ken Stevens was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Shawn Lesser took the loss. Toby Bartley finished to wrap up his 9th save.

Sam Floyd produced a go-ahead single for New York in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Floyd hit a run-scoring single off Shawn Lesser. It put the Boulders in front, 4-3.

"This team is real focused right now," said New York manager Cody Payne.

The second-place Boulders now have a 5-game winning streak.
