Roncal Homers Twice in 23-8 Sabercats Win
The Sedona Sabercats and The Stinging Larvae lit up the scoreboard.

David Roncal led the Sedona Sabercats to a nifty 23-8 win over the The Stinging Larvae. The Sedona first baseman was a force of nature. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Jorge Mendez snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits over 3 innings. He's now 1-2 on the season. Esteban Molina picked up the save, his 2nd.

With Sedona trailing 2-0 in the top of the second, Roncal hit a curveball from Pedro Anguiano for a grand slam home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Sabercats ahead, 4-2.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Roncal. "You've got to get results."

Sedona occupies last place in the TML R Fred McGriff Division at 58-94.
