The Windy City ThunderBolts went home winners at Gryphons Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Greg Contreras. Contreras silenced the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, enabling Windy City to grab the 5-0 win. Contreras picked up the win for Windy City, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. The ThunderBolts are now 15-8, while the Aigles fall to 14-9.

Mike Hughes had a big 2-run triple for the ThunderBolts in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Windy City leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from Joe Haug and stroked the triple to center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the ThunderBolts ahead, 4-0.

"It was a good effort all around," said Contreras.
