With first baseman Phil Schropp leading the charge, the Trois-Rivieres Aigles defeated the Schaumburg Boomers, 7-5, at Ballpark of Ecatepec College. Schropp, who is tied for 8th in the FL in home runs with 5, was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. Trois-Rivieres reliever Bobby Polansky picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jaylin Whiteman absorbed the loss. Today's win puts Trois-Rivieres at 10-7, while Schaumburg falls to 11-6.

Trois-Rivieres took a 6-5 lead on Ron Villarreal's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Schaumburg pitcher Jaylin Whiteman in the bottom of the eighth.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Trois-Rivieres manager Sean Laster.
