Capitales Roll to 8-0 Win Over Miners
|
Quebec and Sussex County met at Commodores Ballpark in front of a lively crowd.
The Quebec Capitales got a stellar performance from pitcher Bobby Cuddy, who handcuffed the Sussex County offense en route to a 8-0 win at Commodores Ballpark. In 5.2 innings, Cuddy surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed no runs.
With two out in the top of the second, Jim Tollerson hit a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and with it the Capitales took a 2-0 lead.
"I had everything working," said Cuddy.
The Miners fall to 6-8 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2044 season.
