Cyclones Bonk Commies, 15-3
The Brooklyn Cyclones pasted the Caribbean Commies with a convincing 15-3 defeat at The Lava Flow. Franklin Vargas was a prime factor in the Brooklyn win. He went 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Antonio Pimentel earned the win. Ron McCallum, who is tied for 10th in the RR in innings pitched with 137.1, took the loss for Caribbean. The last-place Commies have dropped 4 straight games.

Chris Fuentes had a big 2-run double for the Cyclones in the bottom of the first inning. With Brooklyn leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Ron McCallum and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cyclones ahead, 4-0.

"Sometimes, the runs just come in bunches," said winning manager Ed Otto.
