Hayes Hits 3 home runs in Otters Win
|
The Evansville Otters bested the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, 15-7, at Rocketmen Ballpark. Aaron Hayes was named player of the game. He belted 3 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 6. With the loss, Trois-Rivieres drops to 8-5.
Hayes contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Evansville in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-0, Hayes took a fastball from Mike Costa and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Otters to leap in front, 3-2.
"We got the victory," said Hayes. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
