Rangers Scratch Out 2-1 Win
|
Tony Inda, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, was in top form in a tight contest between Carrollton and Rockville. The Rangers right-hander helped his team beat the Rangers, 2-1. Carrollton bumps their record to 80-66 with the win.
In the bottom of the fifth, Alex Manzo delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Carrollton left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Rangers in front, 2-1.
Inda was in a reflective mood after the contest. He told the Carrollton Bulletin, "Every game is it's own challenge. That's what keeps the competitive fire alive."
