Cyclones Earn Clutch Win, 3-2
The Lava Flow played host to some real drama.

The Brooklyn Cyclones had to overcome a good performance from Caribbean pitcher Manny Barragan to claim a 3-2 win at The Lava Flow. Barragan went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win for the Cyclones raised their record to 91-55.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Brooklyn center fielder Marvin Hartman, facing Raul Ortiz, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Cyclones the 3-2 win.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Brooklyn skipper Ed Otto. "I can't complain."
