Win Makes Cyclones 95-52
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Brooklyn-Manchester ballgame.
Shane Rabuse left his imprint on the 8-4 Brooklyn win against the Manchester Mooses. Rabuse, who is tied for 7th in the RR in RBI with 111, was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Teobaldo Ravasco was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 9 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts. Joe Bauer closed the game out for Brooklyn, earning his 17th save.
With Brooklyn trailing 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Rabuse hit a fastball from Kasey Thompson for a grand slam home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 6-3.
"The vibe's good," said Brooklyn manager Jerry Cruz. "We've got to keep it going."
With the win over Manchester, the Cyclones improved to 95-52.
