Trevino Excels, But Y'alls Win
|
Quebec got a terrific game from right fielder Jose Trevino. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Florence, 8-4. Trevino was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was T.J. Sheldon in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eric Karpinski took the loss. With their winning streak at 8, the Y'alls have raced to a strong start this season.
Dan Braddock helped out the Florence cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk.
"It's great to be on a roll," said Braddock.
